Water Resources Engineer

Tamarra’s passion for working with people and conservation of the environment has led her to approach the practice of engineering from a social and humanitarian lens. As a Water Resources Specialist, Tamarra brings a forward-thinking intersectional approach to technical excellence and social awareness to advocate for the needs and cultural context of clients.

Throughout her career in environmental consulting, Tamarra has developed a robust technical background in hydrology and hydraulic modelling, floodplain management and mapping, and surface water monitoring. At SVS, Tamarra will continue her work as a water management specialist with the addition of continuous cultural learning. She identifies life-long learning as a key personal and professional value.

Tamarra graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Water Resources Engineering with a minor in International Development from the University of Guelph in 2016. She also holds a master’s degree in Conservation Leadership from the University of Guelph, with a focus in conservation methods from both western and Indigenous perspectives

Outside of work, Tamarra enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring local hiking trails with her dog or indoors, pursuing a new creative art project.
