Water Resources Engineer-in-Training
Hannah’s deep connection to water drives her dedication to its protection. From growing up fishing on Lake Erie, to experiencing the expanse of Great Slave Lake, she has developed a deep reverence and respect for water. When facing the intricate challenges of water management, Hannah advocates for collaborative solutions that center community and prioritize Indigenous Knowledge.
Hannah graduated from the University of Guelph’s Environmental Engineering program in 2020, where she also continued to complete a Master of Applied Science in Water Resources Engineering in 2022. Hannah has worked for provincial government implementing both Great Lakes monitoring initiatives and climate change mitigation programs.
Hannah is proud of her Haudenosaunee heritage. Hannah’s grandmother is from Six Nations of the Grand River in Brandford, Ontario, where she and her family members are also registered.
In her spare time, you’ll find Hannah outside. She enjoys learning about off-grid living through volunteer-based travel and camping and paddling her weekends away. She is passionate about resilient living that works in harmony with nature.
