Meghan Dalrymple, MA

Senior Environmental Assessment Specialist

Senior Environmental Assessment Specialist and Project Director Meghan Dalrymple has over twenty years of experience in environmental assessment and regulatory processes. For the past fifteen years, she has exclusively supported Indigenous communities’ participation in these processes. Meghan has expertise in managing and senior-reviewing multidisciplinary technical reviews of proponent applications, reclamation plans, and monitoring plans and information. She works with her clients to link the findings of these reviews to available community information to identify and substantiate anticipated impacts as well as bring forward innovative, community-specific measures to avoid, address, and accommodate impacts.

Meghan is skilled at synthesizing technical information to support communities’ regulatory submissions, interventions, and negotiations processes. She has assisted communities in developing and implementing procedures and tools to track regulatory activities and timelines, and in coordinating engagement with proponents in a manner that meets client needs and preferences. She has experience conducting interviews and mapping for Indigenous Knowledge and traditional land use and occupancy studies. Meghan is passionate about working with her clients to expand the range of information brought forward in impact assessments and regulatory processes to drive stronger outcomes – and ultimately, increased self-determination – for Indigenous communities.

Meghan lives in northeastern Alberta. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography, a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies, and a Master of Arts in Resources and the Environment. Outside of work, she is often found on a forested trail with her dog, or with her nose in a good book and a freshly brewed dark roast close by.
