Meaghan Luis, 

Senior Environmental Assessment and Negotiations Specialist

Meg holds a Masters of Rural Land Use Planning at the University of Guelph, and is a registered professional planner (RPP) within Ontario. Her professional experience began in the private sector, providing consultation and environmental planning expertise for a variety of First Nations clients navigating a variety of environmental assessment processes in relation to various capital and community projects. Meg also worked with the federal government within Natural Resources Canada, synthesizing information from forestry scientists and providing plain language information to impacted First Nations to ensure meaningful participation. For the past several years, she has worked for the Ontario Public Service, first as a District Planner in Dryden within the Ministry of Natural Resources then as a Negotiator on behalf of Ontario, leading land claim negotiations with multidisciplinary teams and negotiating alongside First Nation and federal representatives.
