Mark MacDougall, M.Sc., CET, PMP

Project Coordinator

Mark MacDougall has a background that blends expertise in aquatic ecology with project management and oversight, spanning the fields of environmental monitoring, regulation, spatial analysis, and clean technology.

Mark is a graduate of the Environmental Science program at the University of Guelph, where he majored in ecology. He then completed a MSc in Biology at the University of Waterloo, where he worked on understanding ecological response to human disturbance in lakes of the Muskoka River watershed, in central Ontario. Mark is recognized as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute and is certified as an Engineering Technologist, by the Ontario Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists.

Through his professional journey, Mark has worked with several public sector government and non-governmental organizations. In these roles, he has worked to develop programming alongside several Ontario First Nation communities for environmental monitoring and capacity building using a Two-Eyed approach. Mark is passionate about environmental preservation and is a strong proponent of community-led conservation efforts.

Growing up on Georgian bay, Mark is passionate about fishing, canoeing, and camping, as well as baseball and listening to music.
