Intermediate Social Researcher and Project Manager
Claire is a socio-cultural anthropologist and project manager committed to bringing community-centred ways of knowing into the methodologies and tools used to document and share Indigenous Knowledge. She has worked closely with First Nation, Inuit, and Métis communities from Nunavik to Nlaka’pamux Territory to execute research projects that place Indigenous knowledge, laws and traditions, and voices at the centre of resource development within Canada. Her work has supported Nations in documenting the data and information needed to hold the Crown accountable for their Duty to Consult, in protection of inherent and constitutionally guaranteed rights. She has a breadth of knowledge and experience in social research and qualitative methods, including Socio-Economic and Traditional Knowledge and Land Use Studies, GIS, cultural resource management, oral history, and communications and data sovereignty.
