Doig River First Nation

Socio-Economic Development Study

SVS reviewed Pembina’s Socio-Economic Valued Components (VCs) and Indicators for the Taylor to Gordondale Pipeline and assessed their alignment with Doig River First Nation’s priorities. A tailored socio-economic study was developed, focusing on key concerns and supporting mitigation, monitoring, and management strategies. Community engagement included an in-person workshop and virtual interviews with Doig staff and key knowledge holders to gather socio-economic, cultural, and economic data. SVS conducted data analysis, identified potential project impacts, and prepared a public-facing Socio-Economic Report for inclusion in Pembina’s regulatory submission, along with a confidential memo for Doig leadership. The final report incorporated feedback from Doig and included recommendations for collaborative mitigation and management measures.
