Youth Climate Symposium

The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) hired Shared Value Solutions Ltd. (SVS) to support Métis in the development of materials for and facilitation of Environmental Leadership of Tomorrow’s (MELT) 2023 Métis Youth Climate Symposium. Specifically, the MMF asked SVS to support on the development of presentations and workshops and support as workshop facilitators at the Métis Youth Climate Symposium in March 2023.

SVS developed and delivered material relating to the causes and impacts of climate change in the Red River Metis Homeland. Education, monitoring, training, volunteer, and employment opportunities; Leadership skills and the value of environmental advocacy; Actions to be taken at the community and provincial level to reduce GHG emissions; Changes on the land – first hand experiences from elders and land users.
